Jody Bintz

Jody joined BSCS as a Science Educator, and currently serves as associate director for strategic partnerships and professional learning. She has designed and led a variety of programs to build leadership capacity and enhance the knowledge and skills of professional development providers in various sites across the country. Bintz designs and leads district-based professional development to improve their science programs, enhance the pedagogical content knowledge of teachers, and develop local leadership capacity. She is a member of the design team for Videocases for Science Teaching Analysis Plus (ViSTA Plus), an NSF-funded research study to implement and study the efficacy of an analysis-of-practice program for elementary science teacher preparation. Bintz taught high school science and coached in Treynor, Iowa.
