Bonnie has 20+ years teaching English language arts. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at University of San Diego, Southeastern Louisiana University and served as the English language arts specialist at the Maryland Department of Education. After working as reading coach, department chair, building leader, and curriculum director, she joined Achieve to lead the design of the PARCC assessments in ELA/Literacy. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Stony Brook University, an M.A. in English from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and a B.A. in Spanish/English education from the State University of New York at Albany.
