Amy Colton

Center for Collaborative Inquiry, Ann Arbor, MI

Amy is influenced by her experience as a special education teacher and district professional learning consultant. She facilitates professional learning in the areas of collaborative inquiry; teacher leadership; PLC development; cultural proficiency and the design, implementation, and evaluation of professional learning. She currently serves as executive director for Learning Forward MI and as a senior consultant for Learning Forward. She has a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Michigan. As a teacher-in- residence for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, she coordinated the development of the Board’s first teaching certificate. Her work appears in publications from Learning Forward, ASCD, and Corwin Press.

Quality big name speakers during concurrent sessions. Facilitators engaged participants. Focused on professional learning.  It’s rare to attend a conference with TONS of sessions that are relevant for my work (professional developer).
