Lunches are included in your preconference (Saturday and Sunday) registration. Breakfast will be served in the exhibit hall on Monday and Tuesday from 7:30 am – 8:30 am. A sit-down lunch is served on Monday and Tuesday and brunch is served on Wednesday, prior to the three general sessions. You will want to be on time for the sit-down meals, as service ceases as a courtesy to the speakers once the general sessions start. Your name badge is your admission to meals. Choose a different table in general sessions to meet and eat with new people. Learning Forward has a long tradition in which attendees eat meals together in the spirit of camaraderie and networking.

Full or cancelled sessions are marked on the website. The My Conference tool will not allow you to register for them. You will want to sign up for sessions as soon as you’ve registered since popular session topics or presenters fill early. If a session is full that you wish to attend, check back periodically. There is movement in and out of sessions even at the conference.

Sessions can be selected while completing the registration process. You may also elect to finish the process of selecting sessions later and opt to receive email reminders to do so. Remember, Learning Forward’s conference sessions are ticketed and are open on a first come, first serve basis. Popular sessions fill quickly.

Using the My Conference tool allows you to save sessions automatically for the days for which you have paid. The My Conference tool will contain your complete conference itinerary.

You will receive an acknowledgement email from learningforward@learningforward.org. Call 800-727-7288 if you do not receive an email acknowledgement the same day you register.

You may make changes to your itinerary in the My Conference tool at any time until a certain date. After this date, you will need to visit ticket exchange onsite.

Housing is not included in the conference registration process. Rooms fill up quickly, so make your reservation as early as possible through the conference website. Please make sure to read the cancellation policies.

All meeting rooms are set in rounds of 6-8. The room will be set with AV within an hour before the session start. Session locations will not be finalized until November and can be found in the onsite guide or in the mobile event guide.

Learning Forward will provide all session rooms with a screen, LCD projector, 1 audio connection (either a computer or microphone), and wireless Internet connectivity. Any other AV equipment needed will be the responsibility of the presenters.

There will be wireless connectivity throughout the meeting space. If you would like to order an Ethernet connection, flip chart, pad, and markers, or other equipment, you may place the order through the proposal system online.

Learning Forward does not provide hard copies of presentations or handouts to attendees. Instead presenters will be provided instructions on how to upload session materials that will be made available through the mobile event guide in the fall.

All sessions at the conference will be evaluated using online survey. We ask participants for an overall rating of the session, about the presenters’ use of effective teaching and learning strategies, whether the presenters should be invited to return, the impact of the learning on participants’ work, the primary way what was learned will be used, and other comments. A report with the responses will be available to you a few weeks following the conference.

A host will be assigned to your session to check attendees’ session registration, help with the room set up, distribute handouts, and introduce your session.
