Cancellations must be sent in writing to the Learning Forward Business Office by November 10, 2019 to receive a full refund. A 50% refund will be given to written requests received by November 19, 2019. A processing fee of $50 will be deducted from all refunds. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after November 19, 2019. Learning Forward reserves the right to process refunds after the conference concludes.

Fees for the preconferences on Saturday and Sunday include coffee breaks, lunches, and materials.

Fees for the regular conference include the welcome reception on Sunday evening, lunch on Monday and Tuesday, the sponsor reception, brunch on Wednesday, and materials.

The individual who submitted the proposal can log into the Learning Forward proposal system at https://lfp.learningforward.org with their user account. Select the “contract” button to view the details of the session date and time.

Housing is not included in the conference registration process. Rooms fill up quickly, so make your reservation as early as possible through the conference website. Please make sure to read the cancellation policies.

All meeting rooms are set in rounds of 6-8. The room will be set with AV within an hour before the session start time. Learning Forward will provide all concurrent session rooms with a screen, LCD projector, and wireless Internet connectivity. Concurrent sessions with 45 or more participants will be provided with a computer audio patch and one microphone. Any other AV equipment needed must be ordered through the conference AV provider. Associated costs are the responsibility of the presenters. This includes but is not limited to an hardwire connection, flip chart, easel pad, and markers, or other equipment. Use this link to access the Freeman order form. All requests and payment for additional AV are handled directly with Freeman.

Learning Forward does not provide hard copies of presentations or handouts to attendees. Instead presenters will be provided instructions on how to upload session materials that will be made available through the mobile event guide in the fall.

All sessions at the conference will be evaluated using online survey. We ask participants for an overall rating of the session, about the presenters’ use of effective teaching and learning strategies, whether the presenters should be invited to return, the impact of the learning on participants’ work, the primary way what was learned will be used, and other comments. A report with the responses will be available to you a few weeks following the conference.

A host will be assigned to your session to check attendees’ session registration, help with the room set up, distribute handouts, and introduce your session.
